Development trend of perlite thermal insulation material industry

Perlite as an organic thermal insulation material is the main competitor in the domestic inorganic insulation materials. In the inorganic insulation materials series, it is foam concrete, which has the advantages of easy access to raw materials, simple manufacturing process, low price, low toxicity and so on. We analyze from a macro point of view, for perlite, there are two major competitors: organic insulation box, inorganic insulation materials.

Foam concrete not only has the thermal insulation property, but also has the functions of heat insulation, fire prevention, sound insulation and so on. This meal is easy to maintain and can be reused. But compared with perlite, the thermal conductivity is high, the thermal insulation performance is poor, and the bulk density is high, the load-bearing performance is not as good as perlite thermal insulation material.

We analyze from a macro point of view, for perlite, there are two major competitors: organic insulation box, inorganic insulation materials. Inorganic thermal insulation material has a slightly lower thermal insulation rate, but its fire resistance and flame retardance are small, its deformation coefficient is small, its aging resistance is good, its performance is stable, it is well integrated on the wall foundation, safe and stable, and it can be recycled. Organic thermal insulation materials have light weight, high sealing and good thermal insulation effect, but the disadvantages are: easy to aging, easy to deformation, unstable, easy to burn, difficult to construct, high engineering cost, its resources are non renewable resources, can not be recycled.

Although perlite is widely used in various fields, it is an industry of Fangxing Moyi, but it has faced severe challenges in this field. In the near future, many materials will replace perlite. In the field of competitors, it is used as insulation material for mortar and building. Flake like vermiculite is a competitive material. Lightweight aggregate such as expanded clay, shale, volcano limestone, volcano ash and foam cement, which are low cost, high strength and more than perlite. When perlite is used as adsorbent, abrasive and additive, it is easily challenged by various mineral products. In cryoengineering, opaque aerosols and a thin film of aluminum and glass cloth can replace perlite.
